About Lesli

Did you know that positive parenting skills can be learned? I didn’t. But now I do. And that has changed everything.

As a college undergraduate at Brigham Young University, I was introduced to the field of family science. Right then and there, I chose to dedicate my personal and professional life to strengthening families. I later pursued graduate work at North Carolina State University, where I studied coaching psychology within the context of human development and family relationships.

During my time at NCSU, I discovered positive psychology - a branch of psychological science dedicated to human flourishing. I also fell in love with interpersonal neurobiology - a branch of neuroscience that studies human development and brain growth within the parent-child relationship. It fascinates me that as parents, we literally have the power to change how our child’s brain develops. We can do so much good if we just have the right tools!

Throughout the years, I have worked with kids and parents in many capacities - as a university instructor, a high school teacher, and a community family life educator. I have even parented four kids of my own.

As a parent coach and family life educator, I’m passionate about teaching research-based best practices. Education is a large component of my coaching program because I truly believe knowledge is power.

I LOVE what I do and the clients I work with. NOTHING beats watching a parent grow in confidence as they strengthen their relationship with their child.
